About Me
Rooted in India and based in Toronto, my practice explores the emotional and environmental impact of the objects and spaces we inhabit. I design balconies, modular furniture systems, public installations, and hands-on material experiments that rethink waste, honor ancestral knowledge, and foster repair through use.
I hold a Bachelor of Architecture from India and a Master of Design from OCAD University, Toronto. Trained at the intersection of architecture, landscape, and sustainability, I approach design as a bridge between ecological responsibility and human experience. My research focuses on the emotional durability of objects, asking: What makes something worth keeping? From a desk passed down through generations to a stool made of scrap cardboard, I believe in the quiet power of repair, reuse, and reflection.
My professional journey includes founding Green Thumb Delhi, a self-initiated sustainable landscape practice, where I led small-space projects from concept to execution. I also collaborated with architects and horticulturists at Jungle Monk to design balcony and rooftop gardens that promoted biodiversity in dense urban environments. These experiences taught me resilience, adaptability, and the realities of running an eco-conscious design business from the ground up.
Alongside practice, I have engaged in public art mentorship and exhibitions, and developed installations and prototypes that expand my research on circular and regenerative design. As an educator and community collaborator, I have facilitated sustainability workshops for children and adults, blending storytelling with tactile making. These workshops transform everyday waste materials — plastic bags, cardboard, fabric scraps — into creative explorations of circularity and care.
Whether prototyping furniture, designing planting strategies, or leading workshops, I work with intention — grounded in environmental justice, cultural memory, and lived experience. I am currently seeking opportunities to contribute to landscape and design practices in Toronto, where I can bring my expertise in sustainable design, community engagement, and material innovation to collaborative, climate-conscious projects.
