About Me
Hey, I’m Rithika.
I’m a designer based in Toronto, with roots in India, working at the intersection of sustainability, systems thinking, and spatial design. My practice has evolved from hands-on landscape and garden design into exploring how circular and regenerative approaches can shape more resilient environments.
With a background in architecture and a Master of Design from OCAD University, I’ve worked across balconies, modular furniture, and community-based projects. Early in my career, I founded a small landscape practice focused on urban gardens, collaborating with architects and horticulturists to bring biodiversity into dense city spaces. These experiences grounded my approach in working with natural systems, materials, and people.
My recent work shifts toward systems-level thinking—exploring how everyday objects, like furniture, can be reimagined within circular lifecycles to reduce waste and build long-term value. I’m particularly interested in how design can foster care, repair, and more meaningful relationships between people and the environments they inhabit.
I’m currently seeking opportunities in Toronto to contribute to projects that integrate sustainability, service design, and regenerative thinking.
